YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of the Ungvar Rebbe, Hagon Rav Menashe Klein ZATZAL, just a short while ago in Jerusalem�s Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
As YWN had reported earlier in the week, the Rebbe ZATZAL underwent a cardiac catheterization procedure, and had remained in serious condition. His condition continued to deteriorate, until his petira on Tuesday night. He was in his upper 80’s.
Rav Klein has a Bais Medrash on 16th Avenue in Boro Park, and Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Ungvar in Ramat, Yerushalayim. He�is also the author of the Shalios Utshuvos Mishnah Halachos, and was one of today�s senior Poskim for the Chassidish communities around the world.
Approximately ten years ago, the Rov began splitting his time between�the USA and Eretz Yisrael, and two years ago officially moved to Eretz Yisroel.
UPDATE: The Levaya is scheduled for 9:30AM (Erev Rosh Hashana) in the Ungvar Bais medrash in the Ramot neighborhood of Yerushalayim.

I personally met him and he was for sure an Adam Gadol
Tremendous Tzaddik! BDE..I used to go to him for Shailos sometimes in Boro Park.
Hakadosh Baruch Hu Memalei Shnoseihem. He lived every day of the year.
BDE…He was a well respected posek for the non-chasidish community as well. He was also a bokee b”shas. Big loss.
