While Rishon L�Tzion HaGaon HaRav Moshe Shlomo Amar Shlita was enjoying the chasnah of a grandchild, someone was busy making off with the cash and checks left for the young couple. It appears the gifts were being held in a bag by the rav�s daughter, and during the wedding someone managed to make off with the package, which was presumed to contain a significant amount of money in cash and checks.
The rav�s daughter noticed the bag was gone and frantically began searching for it but came to the understanding that it was not missing, but stolen. The bag was found a number of hours later, emptied of its contents.
The owners of the hall are cooperating with the investigation, using surveillance cameras to hopefully identify the thief.
