The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that 1,400 tickets were issued by New York State Police Troop T to motorists for speeding violations during �Operation Work Brake,� a five-day enforcement campaign. The campaign was held July 9 through July 13, when Troop T stepped up enforcement efforts on the Thruway.
�As we are in the prime highway construction season, improving our roads and bridges, we remind drivers that with the construction comes an important warning: please slow down through work zones,� said Thruway Authority Executive Director Thomas J. Madison.
