NY State Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) called on NY State Senator Brian Kavanagh to cancel a tribute to terrorist supporter Linda Sarsour, which is planned as part of the Hester Street Benefit tomorrow, June 13.
�It�s shocking that Progressive Liberals are willing to give Linda Sarsour a pass on her vile rhetoric, her support of terrorists, and her connection to America�s leading racist Louis Farrakhan,� said Hikind. �What kind of message are Democrats giving when they turn a blind eye to these facts? Honoring someone as divisive and despicable as Linda Sarsour is the very opposite of what New York City�and all of the United States�stand for.�
Hikind asked New Yorkers to contact Senator Kavanaugh�s office at 212-298-5565 to lodge their protest.
In 2015, Sarsour participated in Farrakhan�s #JusticeOrElse rally where the raucous message she delivered echoed Farrakhan�s own anti-Semitic efforts to blame Jews for problems and hardships experienced by blacks in the US. �The same people who justify the massacres of Palestinian people and call it collateral damage are the same people who justify the murder of young black men and women,� Sarsour told the audience. In yet another echo of Farrakhan�s hate rhetoric, Sarsour assured her �sisters and brothers� that the �common enemy�is white supremacy;� insisting that �the liberation of the Palestinian people is bound up with the liberation of black people in America.�
That day, Sarsour shared the stage with anti-white racist Jeremiah Wright who used his address at the Farrakhan rally to denounce Israel as an apartheid state and to assert that �Jesus was a Palestinian.� When Wright was in the spotlight as Obama�s longtime pastor before the 2008 elections, Obama repudiated him, describing his views on America and the US-Israeli relationship �as fundamentally distorted.� Obama also rejected Farrakhan�s endorsement and emphasized his �denunciation of Minister Farrakhan�s anti-Semitic comments.�

Just wanted to say that I called Senator Kavanaugh?s office( at 212-298-5565) and put in my complaint and dismay to Linda Sarsour speaking!!I said she praises terrorist and killing. They took down my name and number. I encourage everyone else to do this as well!!
