VIDEO/PHOTOS: Fire Badly Damages Church in Flatbush; 2nd Time in 11 Years

A historic New York City church has been severely damaged by fire for the second time in 11 years.

The fire broke out at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Brooklyn�s Sheepshead Bay area early Thursday, destroying the sanctuary.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control around 2 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

The cause was not immediately determined.

The church dates back to 1895, and it was still rebuilding from a fire in 2007.
