Manhattan: Subway Rider Robbed & Thrown Onto Tracks

fdnyaA fight over an iPhone ended up with a subway rider on the tracks.

Police say a man in his 20’s got into a fight with another man who stole his smartphone while the two were riding the northbound ‘E’ train Saturday night.

The fight continued on the platform after the train pulled in at the 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue station.

The robbery victim was thrown onto the tracks, where he suffered minor injuries.

Police say his wallet was also stolen.

    Horrible.

    Do not bring any valuables on trains with you? Jewelry, phones, cameras etc…there are gangs looking for very fast bucks. Your life is much more valuable than your possessions.

    I have a better idea for you. Stay home with your blinds closed and hide under your covers.
