Dichter Decries Dirty Party Politics

Public Security Minister Avi Dichter, one of four contenders in the Kadima Party leadership race, condemned what he called dirty politics, in the party which was founded to set the example in Israel of clean and above-board political activity. Dichter received less than 7% of the vote.

Following the recent victory of Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in the race, he stated the primary race was pathetic and represented political corruption.

He explained that for one thing, poll watchers were not assisting voters in how one casts ones ballot, but they were telling them for whom they should vote.

It is possible that Dichters public statements regarding the unacceptable level of political corruption in Kadima may be a first signal that his is contemplating a move to Likud or elsewhere.
