According to a report appearing in the Arabic al-Quds newspaper released in Jerusalem, the Government of Israel has cut a deal by which Gilad Shalit will be released �in the coming weeks�.
According to the deal, convicted terrorist Fatah Tanzim leader Marwan Barghouti will be released from prison. Barghouti is serving five life sentences for his role in the killing of Israelis in terror attacks. In addition, Israel will release a number of Hamas military commanders, whose details are not being released at present.
In exchange, Israel agreed to the ceasefire in Gaza which will lead to the release of Shalit in the coming weeks.
There is no Israeli confirmation or denial of the report at this time.

Hamas terrorists will continue to shoot rockets,commit murder,kidnappings,re-arm; no matter what Israel does except for total annihilation of all terrorists.

Those wicked men are safer in jail. They are targets once they are released by the newer Hamas leaders who are never going to just step aside and let them take away their power. It is worth it to get Gilad Shalit back!
I wonder how many Israelis will be kidnapped in the future, if this deal is true.
