In a briefing to members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee on Monday, Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai warned that in the next war, Israel will face simultaneous missile and terror attacks around the country.
The retired IDF major-general stated that these scenarios will be part of next week�s four-day nationwide preparedness exercise to evaluate the state of the homefront in the event of multiple strikes.
Despite calming messages from other politicians, Vilnai told committee members �this is not an imaginary situation, but a likely scenario in the future�.
Also taking part in the briefing was IDF Brig.-Gen. (res.) Ze’ev Zuk-Rom, who heads the National Emergency Authority.
