The MTA, which regularly schedules work along all of New York City�s 469 subway stations, notified riders that during the week of November 16th through 20th, Q trains operating between Newkirk Avenue and Kings Highway will be running on the express line from 9:45am until 3:00pm.
On Friday, however, the service change will conclude at 2pm, allowing Shabbos observers enough time to reach their destination before the start of Shabbos.
�Many of my constituents were worried that they wouldn�t be able to get home in time for Shabbos,� Senator Felder said. �I�m grateful to the MTA for their sensitivity to the Sabbath observing public.�
