Following a recent report released by the London-based Arabic al-Shark al-Awsat that Israel knows the whereabouts of Gilad Shalit, and continues to monitor the location, but is not attempting a rescue mission because there are large quantities of explosives in the area around him.
The Arabic al-Quds al-Arabi states the earlier report is incorrect and Israel does not know of the captive soldier�s whereabouts, pointing out the report is intended to boost the Zionist morale and to deliver a blow to the resistance.
