Lebanese Chief of Staff Jean Kahwaji has issued instructions to troops to exhibit increased vigilance and to remain alert to any and all Israeli activities along the border.
According to a al-Quds al-Arabi report, the general�s order of the day accompanied the nation�s Independence Day celebrations, stressing the need to continue to oppose Israeli violations on land, sea and air, �using all means at our disposal�.
In a related matter, Lebanese officials on Saturday reported anti-aircraft fire was directed against an Israeli drone flying in Lebanese airspace.
