Escorted by prominent members of the Belz community in Eretz Yisrael and Leumit HMO officials from the Jerusalem branch, Nissim Alon, the kupat cholim�s director-general expressed his appreciation for viewing the magnificent edifice, the main shul in the Belz Beis Medresh in Kiryat Belz. Alon stated it is by far the most �impressive, splendid and magnificent shul� that he has ever seen in his life.
The visit is part of Leumit�s ongoing effort to improve relations with the chareidi community in Eretz Yisrael. Alon first visited the Belz-affiliated clinic on Bar Ilan Street and Ezra L�Marpeh, getting a first-hand look at the level of care provided by his HMO. (The recent HaMevaser survey of the chareidi community in Israel revealed Leumit is the HMO of 22% of the nationwide chareidi community).
The chassidim escorting Alon explained the history of the shul and the Belz chassidus, its roots and the former rebbes.
