Excuse me judge, this isn’t “reporting on the progress of an ongoing investigation”‘ but it’s clearly “reopening” a closed one. The public does not need to know about a state of an ongoing investigation, and thus it’s illigal, but they do need to know that this nominee IS under investigation.

If a regular citizen would commit such a crime they would prob be in jail
