A 24-year-old electrician from the Bronx says he was attacked on the subway 5 train for being a Trump supporter.
Corey Cataldo says he was wearing a �Make America Great Again� hat while on the commute Friday when a black male started staring at him.
Police told The New York Daily News his attacker said �Great, another white Trump supporter,� before his assault.
Cataldo explained the ordeal to WABC, ��He asked me if I�m a Trump supporter. I said �yeah� and thought he�d say �me too.� People have been doing that� [�] �But no. This man was not a Trump supporter.�
�The next thing I know, I have hands around my neck and I�m being choked.� [�] �I try to fight him off, and another gentleman comes over, pretends like he�s going to help me and says �get off of him.� He shoves me up against the wall, up against the window.�
The man says the assault only stopped when the train doors opened and the suspects fled.
The NYPD confirms they are investigating.
