Israel�s Channel 2 Television on motzei shabbos launched its new TV series �HaChatufim� (The Abducted), telling of the lives of IDF soldiers released from Syrian captivity after years as POWs.
Officials working on behalf of captive IDF soldier Gilad Shalit released a statement that �Gilad does not live in a TV show� adding they are unaware if Mr. & Mrs. Noam and Aviva Shalit watched the show, �but it is certain they too wish their son�s plight was nothing more than a show�.
They add that they can only hope that the nation will be brought to a heightened awareness regarding Gilad�s plight as a result of the new television series.
