Of course one should daven for himself or herself in ADDITION to davening for others. There is nothing selfish about that, and we do say, “Imm ain ani li, mi li?” Hashem doesn’t view us as self-centered for having our own bakashos pertaining specifically to ourselves. It becomes a negative when we are ONLY for ourselves and don’t think of others.
