AAQ: The Ukrainian guilt in assisting the Nazis in mass murdering Jews in Ukraine during the hololcaust, as well as the Ukrainian guilt during the time of Tach V’Tat, which we Jews mourn till this very day, when the Ukrainian hero, who is celebrated across Ukraine till this very day with public holidays and statues in all their cities, Bohdan Khmelnytsky yimach shmo, who was the Hitler of his time, are most certainly not Russian inventions.
The parts of modern Ukraine that are more Western oriented, are generally the parts that were historically part Hungary and other countries such as Poland. For example, the towns of Uzhhorod (Ungvar), Mukachevo (Munkatch), Vynohradiv (Selish), Khust (Chust), etc. were part of Hungary for 1,000 years starting in the 900s CE though the end of WWI, when they lost it in 1920 (to the then newly formed Czechslovaokia; afrer WWII the USSR stole it from Czechslovakia and added it to Ukraine); and cities like Lviv (Lemberg) which were originally in Poland. In fact, before 1991 there never was a historically indeopendent country of Ukraine. These are simply undisputed facts. The core part of Ukraine (i.e. Kiev, etc.) was for hundreds of years part of the Russian Empire. Before that it was controlled by the Turks, Persians, etc.
I’m not sure why’d you’d choose to use a non-frum Conservative “rabbi” Abraham Heschel as a form of support.
The fact that a humongeous percentage of former Soviet Israelis are halachicly goyim is an undisputed fact.
