If you think about it, why are men allowed to get drunk on Purim? They�re the ones who tend to do the Aveiros when they get drunk, not women. I�ve had drunk guys talk to me and (gasp!) not keep Shomer negiah with me. So if guys can�t behave they shouldn�t drink. But we women can behave, as ik from personal experience. Nowadays, it�s considered more accepted for women to drink Purim, with there being multiple girls� Purim parties on Purim. Plus, I�ve seen my workmate, who is very normal and chassidish, suddenly dance on the street and act tipsy. But it�s still not accepted in my community. So if anyone sees a girl that�s a bit tipsy, just know that I am normal, BH, and please still suggest me Shidduchim, lol. The problem is once we have kids, B�ezras Hashem, we can�t get drunk because someone has to watch the kids ?
