There’s one aspect of polygamy that I’ve never understood; I’m hoping SJS or another poster can help. If there are roughly the same number of men and women born, and some men have multiple wives, doesn’t that mean that some men can’t marry at all? Or is the male mortality rate in polygamous populations high enough to balance this out?
